Summer 2022 Architecture Workshop - Abruzzo, Italy - Liminal Lab

During a workshop centered on revitalizing small Italian towns in rural Abruzzo, Italy, my team members and I documented small municipality, Castel del Giudice’s, migrant integration program by interviewing migrants and town program managers. Other workshop teams focused on mapping abandonment, small scale agriculture, and last mile solutions. Afterwards, I worked with a curation team to transform the workshop research into accordion booklets and a culminating map for both the engaged stakeholders in the region and an eventual traveling exhibition. My contribution included developing style guidelines for all booklets and populating two of the six booklets using Illustrator and InDesign. This process enlightened me about media production, content editing, and the importance of connecting with stakeholders and community members across languages and cultures.
